Providing HealthCare and Education to Isolated Communities in Kurram

Two Basic Health units (BHUs) and one school have been reconstructed by SRSP in Kurram district. The completed infrastructure schemes include renovation and expansion of two BHUs in village Kunj Ali Zai and Mali khel with the total cost of 13 million PKR, which will facilitate around 26,000 patients per year. In village Spina Shaga government primary school is completed with a total cost of 6.1 million PKR, which will facilitate 140 Students.
Besides local communities Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kurram, Assistant Commissioner Upper Kurram, District Education Officer and District Surgeon Officer, attended the inaugural ceremony of completed infrastructure schemes. These schemes are completed by SRSP with the financial assistance of PATRIP Foundation (Government of Germany). 










Sustainable Return of TDP’s In South Waziristan

Six community Physical Infrastructure schemes were inaugurated in South Waziristan in a grand event organized by SRSP. The event took place in Auditorium Hall of District Coordination compound and was attended by Member National Assembly Maulana Jamal ud Din, Additional Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan District Mr.Dil Nawaz Khan and District Coordinator FDMA Mr.Said Umer along with scores of community leaders.

The schemes include 3 drinking water supply facilities and 3 irrigation channels that will benefit 915 households and irrigate over 1200 kanals of land respectively in villages Sherinkhel, Barwand, Machi Khel, Upper Suleman khel, Spinkai Raghzai, Chalmishti, Tappay Sar of District South Waziristan. These schemes will be established with a total cost of PKR 19.9 million and will be completed in a period of six months.

German Embassy and KFW Representative visited SRSP

he Delegation comprise of Mrs. Hammerschmidt, Director Asia, BMZ, Berlin, Mr. Wolfgang Mollers, Country Director, KfW, and representatives of KFW and German Embassy visited SRSP’s Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) Hayatabad, Peshawar.
The delegates met the youth from the newly merged tribal districts undergoing skills training in different trades. CEO SRSP Mr. Masood Ul Mulk gave a briefing on the development work of the organization in the tribal districts and other parts of KP.

40 female participants complete 20 days training

40 women participants completed a 20 days training organized by SRSP on Sack Embroidery and Mazri Works in Bara, Tehsil of Khyber District. The objective of this training was to enhance the existing expertise of women utilizing locally available resources and to improve their income generating sources by selling the products in local market.
Tool kits along with certificates were distributed among all the successful participants upon the completion of training which was organized under a five years project funded by the Government of Germany and financed by Kfw to support Reintegration and Rehabilitation for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
