30 women in South Waziristan Agency are provided skills in Tailoring and Hand Embroidery, to enable them to support their families, through income generating interventions. The trained women are also linked with the national market through providing them an opportunity to display their products in a national level exhibition held in Islamabad. These women were trained by SRSP under a four years project funded by the Government of Germany and financed by KfW to support Reintegration and Rehabilitation for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in FATA.
Mr. Shoaib Sultan Khan, the founder of RSP movement in Pakistan, visited Local Support Organizations (LSOs) in Nowshera and Charsadda Districts and met Community Investment Funds members, Entrepreneurs and Value Chain members. He described what he saw as an excellent example of women empowerment and poverty alleviation. He was accompanied by Chairperson SRSP Mrs Munawar Humayun Khan and CEO SRSP Masood Ul Mulk along with others.
