Training of Tailoring and Hand Embroidery is provided to the Women of South Waziristan Agency KP

30 women in South Waziristan Agency are provided skills in Tailoring and Hand Embroidery, to enable them to support their families, through income generating interventions. The trained women are also linked with the national market through providing them an opportunity to display their products in a national level exhibition held in Islamabad. These women were trained by SRSP under a four years project funded by the Government of Germany and financed by KfW to support Reintegration and Rehabilitation for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in FATA.




Providing Embroidery Machines to Women for Micro Enterprise Development

110 women entrepreneurs have been provided with imported embroidery machines and tool kits. These women were mobilized and organized in to Cloth cluster value chain group and capacitated in Quilts sets making, baby sets making and wedding sets making. The project also built the capacities of rural women in entrepreneurial skills and linked up with suppliers in local market to run micro enterprises. Certificates and tool kits distribution ceremony was organized in Charsadda, which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Charsadda. The activity is funded by Government of Australia (DFAT) and implemented by SRSP.





Meeting with Prime Minister of Pakistan

Chairman RSPN Mr Shoaib Sultan Khan and CEOs of SRSP, NRSP, BRSP, SRSO, RSPN and GM AKRSP yesterday called on the Prime Minster of Pakistan Mr Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Chairman RSPN briefed the prime minister about the functions and working of RSPN that helps the poor break off shackles of poverty through fostering a three-tier social mobilisation network. PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appreciated the efforts of RSPN and its contributions towards poverty alleviation in various parts of the country.

Advance Automotive Mechanic Training in Nowshera

30 youth receive 45 days training on advanced automotive mechanic in Nowshera. The training was organized by SRSP’s technical and vocational center in Nowshera for the first time. Participants appreciated mobile training unit facility and were obliged for arranging such advanced level training at their door step. Closing ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Nowshera. The activity is funded by the Government of Australia (DFAT).

45 days training on advanced automotive mechanic in Nowshera

Thirty youth receive 45 days training on advanced automotive mechanic in Nowshera. The training was organized by SRSP’s technical and vocational center in Nowshera for the first time. Participants appreciated mobile training unit facility and were obliged for arranging such advanced level training at their door step. Closing ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Nowshera. The activity is funded by the Government of Australia (DFAT).







Three Solar Power Tubewells inaugurated in District Nowshera

District Nazim Nowshera inaugurates 3 solar powered tube wells in Walai village, district Nowshera. 
The scheme is irrigating 403 canals of land benefiting over 250 households of the village. The need was identified by the Marigold cultivators. The value chain interventions have created income generating opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Women make flower garlands and sell them in local market. The total cost of the project is PKR 5.1 million in which community share is PKR 1.26 million. The initiative was taken under Women Economic Empowerment and Market Development project funded by the Government of Australia through DFAT and implemented by SRSP.
