Sunflower grows well in drought and is very popular among communities in the marginal areas of KP and FATA. SRSP in partnership with WFP has selected and trained 10 women on sunflower cultivation in tehsil Bara. Under the cash for work activity, they prepared land and purchased seeds for cultivation. SRSP provided PKR 6,000/month to each women in a three-month cycle.
